Protexis Adds Tom Armstrong as VP Business Development
April 9, 2001, Vancouver, BC – Protexis Inc. announced today the addition of Tom Armstrong to its management team. Mr. Armstrong, a Berkeley MBA, will assume the responsibilities of Vice President Business Development and will be stationed in Silicon Valley to lead the company's activities there. Mr. Armstrong joins Protexis after a successful executive sales career at Sendmail Inc.
Protexis Inc. was established in March, 2000 and acquired the software anti-piracy, electronic licensing and registration business assets from Paradata Systems Inc. Protexis provides channel-enabling solutions for electronic software licensing and registration.

Mr. Armstrong joined Sendmail in its first operating quarter. Prior to joining Sendmail, he co-founded AScribe Inc., an internet-leveraged national public interest newswire service. Mr. Armstrong also worked at Teradyne Inc. for nine years in a variety of senior software applications, development and marketing roles. Mr. Armstrong holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Harvey Mudd College, a Masters of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from USC and an MBA from the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley.
