October 20, 2004, Vancouver, BC – Protexis, provider of state-of-the-art on-demand e-commerce services for software publishers, today announced that the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office has approved a patent that expands the company's patent holdings surrounding its system of copy protection, electronic licensing, and e-commerce services for software and digital content. "Receiving this patent is another important milestone as Protexis accelerates on its growth plan. We're committed to building an intellectual property portfolio around our expertise in enabling state-of-the-art e-commerce and digital rights management (DRM) for software publishers," said Hirsch.
