Crystal Decisions Selects Protexis
June 25, 2001, Vancouver, BC – Protexis Inc. announced today that Crystal Decisions®, a leading provider of reporting, analysis and information delivery solutions, has agreed to adopt the state-of-the art Protexis nTitles electronic software licensing system. This agreement marks the successful completion of an extensive Protexis development activity to meet the requirements of Crystal Decisions and its international channels.
As part of the relationship between the two companies, the Protexis nTitles system incorporates Crystal Enterprise®, the powerful new enterprise reporting, analysis and information delivery solution. Software publishers and distributors now have access to leading enterprise web-reporting technology built into a sophisticated, channel-supportive electronic licensing system.
"We are very excited about this agreement," noted Jonathan Honey, OEM manager, EMEA at Crystal Decisions. "We believe that we will be able to make an impact on software piracy while actually promoting end-user ease-of-use. Protexis has demonstrated their ability to provide us with a worldwide electronic licensing system. We have been particularly impressed with their ability to support internet and non-internet connected users in developed and developing countries."
David Dunnison, President and CEO of Protexis, stated, "This is an extremely important milestone for Protexis. Crystal Decisions is a true leader in the reporting, analysis and information delivery market. We believe that this agreement will set a new standard for eBusiness partnering and electronic software license management. We have created the industry's most advanced software license management system. Crystal Decisions has one of the most comprehensive sales channels in the software industry. As such, they required a system that could enhance these important partnerships and add value to their entire channel."
"Many of the features now developed will have tremendous value across the industry. Many leading software publishers incorporate Crystal Decisions' products into their own offerings, and the Protexis system will receive exposure across the software industry. We look forward to working with Crystal Decisions to maximize their benefits from this system."
