I can't get the software to work. What can I do?
There are a few common problems that can interfere with activating a product. Make sure to check the following if you are experiencing problems activating your software:
- Double check your serial number for errors. The letter "i" can easily be mistaken for the number 1 (one) or a lower case "L", and zero can just as easily be mistaken for the letter "O". The best way to avoid entering an invalid serial number is to copy/paste it into the appropriate dialog box, rather than typing it character by character.
- Communication problems can affect serial number verification. If you are running a firewall, please check the settings and try again. If problems continue, you may need to disable the firewall momentarily while you activate your software.
- To install software on any operating system, you need to be logged in to your computer with full administrator privileges. Verify that your user account belongs to the administrator group and try the activation again.
Need technical support for your product?
Protexis processes online purchase transactions on behalf of software publishers and cannot provide any technical help for their software. The software company that makes the product provides the technical support you need. You can look in a few places to find the contact information for technical support:
- Review your email receipt or order confirmation.
- Check within the help file and or the readme.txt file associated with the download.
- Visit the place where you downloaded or ordered the product to find the technical support contact. This is usually provided somewhere on the web site.
